The continuing saga of “Dry Bluffs”
Arrrgh me hearties, board your pirate ships and set sail to the second annual Pirate Festival. Make port at Country Heritage Park, Aug 1st , 2nd, and 3rd 2009 to enjoy the show. Interact with our wandering pirates and town swashbucklers. There are three pirate stages full of family entertainment, good for the wee buccaneers to grandparents with wooden peg legs. Browse our marketplace where our vendors display their handcrafted wares and mayhap some of the booty they've plundered. Challenge yourselves with our games of skill, balance on our Jacob's ladder or try not to get lost in our maze. You can take your picture on our pirate ship and fill your bellies with pirate food. New to this year is our adult night of debauchery, a chance to leave the kids at home and let your inner pirate abound.
When we last left Dry Bluffs, all were settled and happy! Anne Bonney and Calico (Captain Jack) had found, or should we say won each other; Kheir-ed-Din, had revealed his treasure and more; Will had resigned himself to Anne and Calico; Mary, Blackbeard’s daughter was, well what can we say of a crazy woman? And, Governor Osborne may still be in the pub. But, it is a year later and how long does love last? There are pretty new feminine girls about the village. Calico’s eyes may wander, and Anne may have to call back the “lady within”’ Pirates always thieving and knowing the location of treasure and not absconding and causing chaos with this knowledge - most unlikely. They will have many hidden treasures to be sure, and those visiting the village will be enlisted to search. Again join in the frivolity as the pirates lead us on an adventure filled day. Raise your glasses and voices with theirs. Share wit and laughter, and watch the antics.
